TUALATIN, OR (KPTV) -
A man who impersonated a police officer will not be heading to prison.
A judge found Robert Burke guilty of the charge on Tuesday, and then sentenced him to two years of probation.
Tualatin police arrested Burke earlier this year after an officer spotted his car with red-and-blue emergency lights. Upon a search, the officer found more items that can be used to imitate an officer, including a ballistic vest, a police equipment belt, and more emergency lights.
In addition to probation, Burke must get mental health and anger management counseling and remove custom lights on his car.
