Man stabbed several times expected to survive

Posted: Updated:

Police responded to a disturbance at a transitional housing shelter Saturday afternoon to find a man stabbed in the forearm, lower abdomen and buttocks.

The incident occurred at 1115 W. 13th Street in Vancouver, at about 4:25 p.m.

The 19-year-old victim was transported to a hospital to be treated for his wounds, which appeared to be non-life-threatening.

Police talked to many witnesses who gave a description of the suspect, who they say fled the scene.

About 30 minutes later police found a man fitting the description at 13th and Broadway.

Johnny Miller, age 32, was arrested and charged with assault.
