LAKE OSWEGO, OR (KPTV) -
A Lake Oswego teen is working to make a difference this Christmas, making hundreds of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for the homeless.
Leah Sulmonetti says this year instead of Christmas presents, she wanted to give her time for those in need.
She is making 212 sandwiches and handing them out to the homeless people downtown.
Leah is even paying for all of the supplies from her own allowance.
She says the project started out as an assignment from school to do community service but she wanted to take it a step further and hopefully inspire others to do the same.
Leah and her family will be passing out the sandwiches Monday in downtown Portland.
