MOUNT HOOD, OR (KPTV) -

A 17-year-old boy was lifeflighted to OHSU after a serious crash near Mount Hood Meadows. Oregon State Police say a Honda Accord being driven by 28-year-old Cornelio Diaz Flores of Hood River lost control on Highway 35 on Christmas Eve.

The car flew off the road and into the Pocket Creek Sno Park parking area where it collided with three parked vehicles.

Two nurses who were across the highway at a Christmas Eve bonfire ran to the scene and provided emergency care.

Police say Flores was taken to a hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

Seventeen-year-old Cesar Zarate-Mendoza of Parkdale is being treated for serious injuries.  Police say alcohol played a factor in the crash and that Flores was driving with a suspended license. Neither person was wearing a seat belt.
