WOODBURN, OR (KPTV) -

Local police departments are working together to try to stop an organized retail theft ring targeting Walmart stores around Oregon and southwest Washington.

Woodburn Police said the group hit the Walmart store on Oct. 25 and Dec. 1. Investigators believe several suspects are working together to commit high-value thefts of tablet computers from a number of stores.

Police departments in St. Helens, Salem and McMinnville are also involved in the investigation.

Michael Kelso, 47, has been identified as a person of interest in the case. Possible vehicles involved, according to police, are a silver Kia Sephia with Oregon plates 899-ETS and a red Ford Explorer with Oregon plates 876-CNY.

Woodburn police released surveillance images of the suspects in hopes of generating leads in the case.

If you know anything about thefts at Walmart stores in the region, call detectives at 503-982-2345.
