Former Molalla teacher sentenced in sex abuse case

MOLALLA, OR (KPTV) -

A former social studies teacher has pleaded guilty to charges of contributing to the sexual delinquency of a minor.

Tanya Earle entered her plea during a settlement conference on Dec. 21. She was a teacher at Molalla High School

She was arrested in March, and deputies said the abuse happened prior to 2011.

She was sentenced to three years probation, 60 days wearing an electronic monitoring bracelet at home, and she must register as a sex offender. Earle must also complete an evaluation and treatment for being a sex offender.

Earle is not allowed to be a teacher again or have any contact with the school or the victim.
