PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -
A bright-eyed little kitten was the center of attention Thursday at the Oregon Humane Society.
Azazel, a 2-month-old tabby, was the 11,000th adopted pet of 2012 for the organization.
It's the third year in a row the Oregon Humane Society has hit that number. Last year broke the shelter's record with 11,521 animals adopted to new homes.
Executive Director Sharon Harmon said the Oregon agency is one of the busiest humane society's in the nation and the Columbia Boulevard shelter adopts more pets than any other single facility on the west coast.
Azazel was adopted by a family in Lake Oswego.
