VANCOUVER, WA (KPTV) -

Police now say there are two people unaccounted for in connection with the discovery of an unidentified woman whose body was found in the Columbia River.

The woman, believed to be a kayaker, was found below the Glenn Jackson Bridge at around 9:30 a.m. Friday.

Workers from the Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife spotted the body during a routine patrol of the area.

Police said the victim appears to be an Asian woman in her early 50s who was dressed in outdoor clothing and wearing a flotation device. No identification was found for her.

Rescue boats from multiple agencies patrolled the area and found an empty kayak on the eastern tip of Government Island.

On Saturday, Vancouver Police said two people presumed to be associated with the woman are missing.  A car belonging to one of the missing persons was found parked in Oregon where people frequently launch kayaks.

Additionally, a yellow kayak that matches the one that was found is missing from one of the homes of the individuals.

Police say identities are not being released until next of kin are notified.
