GASTON, OR (KPTV) -
A stabbing suspect in Gaston turned himself in to authorities.
Deputies had been searching for Delaney VanLoo, 38, since a fight at an apartment on New Year's Day.
Investigators said VanLoo stabbed Brian O'Neel, 36, in the hands and face on Front Street at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Authorities said they found VanLoo's 10-year-old son and his estranged wife unharmed in the apartment where the stabbing happened.
VanLoo contacted deputies Wednesday from his attorney's office and surrendered. He is charged with first-degree assault and could face more charges, according to deputies.
