Is this Chip Kelly's swan song? Oregon, Kansas St meet tonight

SCOTTSDALE, AZ (KPTV/AP) -

Kansas State and Oregon lost on the same day in November, all but ending their national championship hopes.

The Wildcats and Ducks ended up with a nice consolation prize: Facing each other in the Fiesta Bowl on Thursday night.

No. 5 Oregon (11-1) is in its fourth straight BCS bowl, has fast and talented players, and one of the most dynamic offensive backfields in college football.

No. 7 Kansas State (11-1) doesn't play quite as quickly as Oregon, but meticulously grinds out yards and points. The Wildcats also have one of the nation's best players in quarterback Collin Klein, a finalist for the Heisman Trophy in his final season in the Little Apple.

It won't be for a national title, but this Fiesta Bowl should be fun to watch.

It will also be played amidst a number of reports suggesting Oregon coach Chip Kelly is headed to the NFL.

Since he arrived in Arizona for the Fiesta Bowl, Kelly has been asked about coaching in the NFL every day. With seven NFL head coaching positions open, there is a growing sense that the Fiesta Bowl could be Kelly's Final game with the Ducks.

Cleveland Browns CEO Joe Banner is In Arizona and intends to interview Kelly.

An ESPN report says Kelly will also interview with the Buffalo Bills on Friday. The NFL Network is also reporting that the Philadelphia Eagles are interested in the Ducks coach.
