PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -
Family and friends said goodbye to a Portland woman who was found killed on Christmas night.
Police are still trying to track down whoever killed Jaime Larson, 33. She was found dead in her apartment on Southwest Park Avenue.
A memorial service was hosted Thursday at Wilhelm's Funeral Home in Sellwood. People who knew Larson best remembered her as an unforgettable person with a wonderful attitude and terrific smile, but said it's tough to find closure until her killer is found.
"As we say goodbye to Jaime, I urge anyone with any information at all to call Detective Molly Dahl or the Portland Police Department," said her brother, Justin Larson.
The investigation began with detectives pleading for the public's help, asking for clues from anyone who spoke to Jaime Larson in the days leading up to her death.
Fox 12 learned that she and her ex-boyfriend, Tim Ruppel, filed restraining orders against each other last February, each citing heavy drinking and physical abuse.
The orders were withdrawn a month later, and police are not calling Ruppel a suspect or a person of interest in this case.
Portland police said they have no new updates in the homicide investigation.
"As long as the person who murdered my sister is still out there, the community is not safe," Justin Larson said.
