HILLSBORO, OR (KPTV) -
Police arrested a woman they believe could be responsible for as many as 15 car break-ins in Hillsboro.
Officers were called out to Northeast Goldie Drive and Northeast Jaime Drive at 10:45 p.m. Thursday on the report of a suspicious person attempting to get into cars parked in that area.
Police contacted Brenna Summers, 24, and said she was carrying methamphetamine.
Investigators said she had checked at least six cars in the area for open doors. None of the cars were damaged.
Surveillance photos also identified her as a possible suspect for other car break-ins around Tuality Hospital. Police believe Summers could be responsible for breaking in to 10 to 15 cars.
That part of the case remains under investigation.
Summers was taken to the Washington County Jail on charges of unlawful entry of a motor vehicle, possession of a controlled substance and a parole violation detainer.
