GRESHAM, OR (KPTV) -
A former Fred Meyer employee accused of trying to get cell phone images of a woman and her daughter in a changing room will spend four months behind bars.
Carl Rainey pleaded guilty to charges of burglary, invasion of privacy and encouraging child sex abuse Friday.
He was sentenced to four months in prison, along with five years of supervised probation. His probation conditions include not being allowed to use computers, cell phone or the internet without prior approval from his probation officers.
He also must register as a sex offender and cannot be where children are found.
Gresham police arrested Rainey in August after a woman accompanied her 8-year-old daughter into the changing room and noticed a hand holding a phone reach over the door.
Police said Rainey admitted to his boss what he had done. He had worked for the company for six years and was fired.
Police said a check of Rainey's cell phone revealed he was not successful in getting any photos or video of the victims.
