A weeklong onslaught of winter weather continued in the Columbian River Gorge Saturday with snow and freezing rain.
The forecast called for the sleet to continue through the night with a Winter Weather Advisory in effect until 9 a.m. Sunday.
For locals in Cascade Locks, the snow was a welcomed break from windy, icy conditions Friday.
"We were a little surprised," said local gallery owner Brad Lorang. "Today was actually pretty good. We had several customers."
Lorang said business had been slow this week as high winds kept locals inside for most of the week.
Earlier in the week, wind gusts of 90 miles per hour were recorded. Then Friday several schools closed early because of icy road conditions.
