A woman in Eugene has pled guilty to stealing more than 5,000 cell phones and reselling them online.
While working for The Pape Group, Inc, Tamara Brown has admitted to ordering large numbers of Sprint cell phones using her corporate privileges. Brown had the phones delivered to her and a friend's home, where she then resold them on eBay.
In all, she netted more than $305,000 in profits and 5,107 cell phones. Brown spent the proceeds from her illicit sales on a downpayment for a house, vehicles and other personal expenses.
She will be sentenced in March on one count of mail fraud.
