BORING, OR (KPTV) -
Oregon State Police are investigating a car crash that sent two people to the hospital. It happened just before 6 p.m. on Tuesday along Highway 224 near Barton.
OSP said a 2007 Honda Civic with two occupants crashed into a PGE power pole just west of SE Bakers Ferry Road. When first responders arrived, they found a woman, Jodie Clark of Oregon City, trapped in the passenger seat. She told them that the driver left the scene.
After a two-hour search, Clackamas County deputies found the driver, Erik Sharp of Oregon City.
Both Sharp and Clark were taken to Mt. Hood Medical Center to be treated for their injuries.
Further investigation led OSP to cite Sharp to appear in Clackamas County Circuit Court for DUII, reckless driving, and hit and run.
