Andrew Lemos and his mother Kristy Lemos
PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -
A 9-year-old boy battling leukemia is hoping you'll dance the night away to help with his medical expenses.
Friends and family treated Andrew Lemos to a fun-filled night at Big Al's in Beaverton Tuesday night. On Wednesday, he went in for another round of treatment.
A special event is planned in Andrew's honor on Sunday. It's at the Conga Club, 4923 N.E. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.
The goal is to do a whole lot of fundraising while also doing plenty of dancing.
The event starts at 6 p.m. and will feature performances by local dance groups, along with a raffle featuring prizes like guided rafting tours, Blazers autographs, gift certificates and dance lessons.
Guest DJs will also have the music going for dancing all through the night.
Admission is $10, and raffle tickets cost $5.
All proceeds go to Andrew and his family for his medical costs.
If you'd like to help but can't make it to the Sunday's event, follow this link to make a donation.
