COOS BAY, OR (KPTV) -
The U.S. Coast Guard's video of the year was filmed in the waters off the Oregon Coast.
Thousands of people voted online for the best video produced by the Coast Guard in 2012. The first-person footage from the crews of the Coast Guard Station Coos Bay received the most with more than 1,100 votes.
The video gives you a rare look at the rough waters and extreme conditions the Coast Guard faces in the Pacific Northwest.
"Battling waves and weather is just another day at the office for these boat crews," according to the Coast Guard's YouTube page.
