ALOHA, OR (KPTV) -
Deputies are trying to track down a man accused of breaking into his estranged girlfriend's apartment and cutting her neck with a knife.
Deputies were called out to the Willow Springs Apartments, 3117 S.W. Doyle Place in Aloha, just after 10 a.m. Thursday.
They found a 42-year-old woman with a deep cut to her neck. She was taken to the hospital with injuries that do not appear to be life-threatening.
The woman told deputies she was attacked by Jose Ponce-Guitron, 46, a transient. Investigators said Ponce-Guitron went to the complex looking for his estranged girlfriend, used a metal tool to break the back glass door to her apartment and then attacked her with a knife.
Neighbors heard the commotion and forced open the front door to help the woman. When the neighbors went inside, Ponce-Guitron ran out the back door, according to witnesses.
It's believed the suspect took off in his green 1999 Honda Pilot, with Oregon plates YMY-389.
If you know where he is, call deputies at 503-629-0111.
