VANCOUVER, WA (KPTV) -
A Washington bus driver will not face criminal charges in the death of an 11-year-old bicyclist.
Ben Fulwiler died in downtown Vancouver on April 28, 2011 after a crash involving a C-Tran bus. The driver, Deborah Knox, has been on paid leave since the crash; pending a police investigation.
Authorities have now wrapped up their investigation which showed that Knox was driving in "a normal fashion."
The bus was traveling its normal route when it turned left onto Main street, police said. Surveillance video shows Fulwiler crashed into the side of the bus, they said.
C-Tran will now conduct an investigation of its own into the crash, officials said. The organization then plans to discuss with Knox when she can return to work.
