Firefighters rescue dog from burning Vancouver home

VANCOUVER, WA (KPTV) -

A dog found alone in a burning home was rescued and resuscitated by firefighters in Vancouver Friday.

Neighbors called 911 at 10:50 a.m. to report a burning home on Northwest 53 Street near Daniels Street.

Fire crews went in and found flames and smoke on the second floor. The fire also extended into the attic.

Firefighters had it out in 10 minutes.

No people were inside the home, but a family dog was rescued.

Unfortunately, two cats were killed in the fire.

The cause remains under investigation.
