PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -
Police said there are no obvious signs of foul play involving the death of a woman found in a north Portland park.
Police were called to the east side of Peninsula Park near a maintenance building at 10:30 a.m. Monday.
Criminalists from the Forensic Evidence Division and Homicide detectives are working to determine how the unidentified person died, but they said Monday exposure to the weather could be to blame.
The confirmed cause of death is still pending an autopsy.
The woman has not yet been identified, and it's unknown if she is a transient.
North Kerby Avenue was closed between Ainsworth Street and Rose Parks Way during the investigation, along with parts of Peninsula Park.
The Community Center is not affected by this investigation and will continue normal operation.
