Zagat releases its first-ever Portland City Guide

PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

Zagat has released its first-ever Portland City Guide covering more than 600 local restaurants.

The well known survey service has been providing restaurant recommendations around the world for three decades.

The new Portland guide is based on the opinion of more than 8,500 surveyors. It includes reviews of 627 restaurants, 149 nightspots, 407 shops and 35 attractions.

The top ranked restaurant in the area is the Painted Lady in Newberg, followed by Le Pigeon and Genoa in Portland.

Zagat named Gustav's the most popular restaurant, Lardo the top-rated newcomer and McMenamins the most popular chain restaurant.
