Portland police have found a missing man who was being treated for a serious medical condition.
Police put out a call to help find Norman Garoutte on Monday after he left a north Portland medical facility and unexpectedly showed up at his northeast Portland home.
His family said they tried to drive him back to the hospital but he ran off. They attributed his behavior to a recent injury.
Officers said they located Garoutte, 54, overnight Monday and he was given medical assistance. No other details were provided about where he went or where he was found.
