A woman walking on the Oregon State University campus was hit in the head by a man who attempted to take off her clothes.
Police said it happened at 10:10 p.m. Tuesday near Southwest 30th and Campus Way on the northern part of campus. The 20-year-old woman, who is not an OSU student, said the man approached her from behind and knocked her to the ground.
He tried to remove some of her clothing, according to officers, but she fought him off. Police said the woman hit him in the face, possibly causing a nose injury. The suspect then ran away.
Officers and a K-9 unit attempted to track the suspect, but could not find him.
He is described as a white man, early to mid 20s, around 6' tall with a bulky build. He had short dark hair with a thin face and bushy eyebrows.
He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with orange "OSU" outlined in white on the front. He also had on jeans and dark-colored tennis shoes.
Police believe he may have an injured nose or a black eye after being struck by the victim.
The woman suffered minor injuries but did not require medical care.
