GLADSTONE, OR (KPTV) -
Friends are still searching for the pet of a drowning victim. The dog was last seen after its owner died near Gladstone two months ago.
Ruby was with her owner, Thomas Ermini, and his girlfriend in November when they drove out onto a sandbar at Meldrum Bar Park. But once the tide came in, their car was washed into the river.
Thomas drowned, his girlfriend was rescued and Ruby swam to shore. But the pooch hasn't been seen since.
Family friend Shari Cooper is organizing the search to find Ruby. She is friends with Ermini's mother Marilyn. She lost her husband just three days before Ermini drowned.
The family is offering a reward. Please call 503-652-2861 if you may have seen Ruby.
