Oregon State Police said a commercial truck and semi-trailer came to rest across the westbound lanes of Interstate 84 near Biggs Junction this morning.

According to Senior Trooper Kendra Raiser, a commercial truck pulling a semi-trailer loaded with general merchandise items was traveling westbound on Interstate 84 near milepost 107 at about 4:45 this morning when its driver lost control.

The truck and trailer came to rest, rolled on their sides blocking the westbound lanes with the rear portion of the trailer on top of the concrete center median barrier sticking into the left eastbound lane.

The truck's two occupants were transported by ambulance to Mid-Columbia Medical Center in The Dalles with non-life-threatening injuries.

Three tow trucks are now on scene to remove the truck and semi-trailer. ODOT and OSP are at the scene to coordinate removal of the truck and continue the investigation into the cause of the crash.

A detour for westbound traffic is set up at Exit 109 onto Old Highway 30. No estimate has been given for re-opening the westbound lanes. Traffic updates will be posted on the Oregon Department of Transportation website.
