Nike co-founder Phil Knight is going to drop some big bucks on Autzen Stadium.
The well-known Ducks supporter is donating $5 million to upgrade landscaping and improve accessibility at the University of Oregon's football stadium.
According to planning documents, the construction will provide improved access to the north side of the stadium with better access ramps and additional stairways.
The goal is to help everyone caught up in the post-game rush to the parking lot get out in a more timely and safer fashion.
The plans also include improved Americans with Disabilities Act compliance.
Finally, workers will improve the look of the stadium with enhanced landscaping.
The project is set to begin Feb. 1 and be completed by Oct. 1. The first game at Autzen Stadium of the 2013 season will be Aug. 31 against Nicholls State.
