
A Washington County sheriff's deputy was shot in the hand during a standoff with a man who barricaded himself inside a house, according to Forest Grove police.
Officers said they responded to a call about a domestic disturbance at a home in the 1000 block of 37th Avenue at about 8:30 p.m. Sunday.
Police said a man with a gun barricaded himself inside the house with a woman and child.
At some point shots were fired and the deputy was shot in the hand. He is expected to survive.
Officers arrested the armed man who was also injured, but it is unclear who seriously he was hurt.
Investigators said the woman and child were not hurt.
Several neighbors were forced to evacuate to a nearby church until the standoff is over.
