Police have identified the man killed in an early morning crash in southeast Portland.
Investigators said Lion Langan, 37, was a passenger in the car driven by John Martin, 49. Langan was killed in the crash.
Emergency crews were called to the scene at Southeast 42nd and Division at 1:30 a.m. Wednesday.
Martin was taken to the hospital and arrested after being treated and released.
Investigators said the car was headed eastbound on Division when it slammed into a telephone pole at 42nd Avenue.
Police said alcohol was a factor in the crash, but weather did not play a role.
Martin now faces charges of second-degree manslaughter, reckless driving and driving under the influence.
