SILVERTON, OR (KPTV) -

The search for a missing group of people who left for a day trip to play in the snow on Tuesday has a happy ending.

Marion County deputies organized a search for three people Wednesday morning who failed to return home.

By 11 a.m., investigators said they had located Daniel Yoder, 19, of Salem, Tyler Cain, 21 and Faith Moen, 19, both of Silverton.

Deputies said the group had talked about going to play in the snow, but didn't tell anyone of their specific destination.

Early this morning, deputies began searching the foothills of the Cascades, checking obvious snow locations like Silver Falls Park and Crooked Finger Road. They were able to track a cell phone carried by the trio to a cell tower near Crooked Finger Road.

Search crews then located the trio. Deputies said they are all in good health and the group is being reunited with their family members.
