Washougal home invasion robbers on the loose after attacking woman

Posted: Updated:

A pair of men attacked a woman in her Washougal home, restrained her with duct tape and robbed her.

It happened at 8:45 p.m. Tuesday off Southeast 34th Street. Officers were dispatched to the home after receiving an incomplete 911 call.

A second 911 then came in from a neighbor's home where the victim ran after the home invasion robbery.

Police said a man rang an elderly woman's doorbell and when she answered it, he asked if she had seen his dog. That's when a second man suddenly appeared and knocked her to the floor.

The woman was forcibly restrained with duct tape and dragged by her hair into another room of the house.

The victim told police she waited several minutes after not hearing them anymore and then freed herself, attempted to call 911 and then ran to a neighbor's house.

The victim described the man who rang her doorbell as a "clean cut" white male clean cut who spoke with an eastern European accent, possibly a teenager or man in his early 20s.

The second suspect was wearing a hood and possibly a mask. She described him as tall, also with an eastern European accent.

The victim reported the men spoke in English and also in a Slavic language that she thought was Russian.

A K-9 team searched the area, but the suspects got away.
