HILLSBORO, OR (KPTV) -

The Hillsboro Hops will have a Cy Young winner on the coaching staff for the team's inaugural season in Oregon.

The Single-A baseball team announced its 2013 coaching staff Thursday. The team will be led by manager Audo Vicente, who has managed in the Arizona Diamondbacks organization for five years.

The team's pitching coach is Doug Drabek, a 13-year Major League Baseball veteran and winner of the 1990 NL Cy Young Award while pitching for the Pittsburgh Pirates.

The team's hitting coach is J.R. House, who played parts of five major league seasons with the Pirates, Astros and Orioles.

Hillsboro native and former Colorado Rockies Catcher Ben Petrick will serve on the Hops coaching staff as a consultant for the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Petrick was considered one of the best prospects to come out of Oregon, but his career was cut short because of Parkinson's disease. He wrote a book about his life, Forty Thousand To One, and has been featured on ESPN.

Petrick will assist the players in acclimating to life as a professional baseball player.

The Hops moved from Yakima, WA where the team had a 36-40 record last season.

The Hops begin a 38-game regular season on June 14 against the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes in Salem. The team's home debut is June 17 against the Eugene Emeralds.
