PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -
Portland police arrested suspected burglar Beau Rappaport just blocks from the crime scene in southwest Portland.
On Thursday, police were called to a burglary in progress on 63rd Avenue at 11:45 a.m. They say the homeowner came home and found the suspect inside the house. They say the suspect then ran off with stolen items.
Officers, including a K-9, searched the area and arrested Rappaport in a nearby backyard. They also recovered the stolen items.
Investigators say Rappaport lived only a few houses away from the victim's house. He was booked into the Multnomah County Jail and will be in court Friday.
