LAKE OSWEGO, OR (KPTV) -
A truck slammed into the Lake Oswego post office, knocking over a sorting table into a postal employee.
The worker was taken to the emergency room Monday morning with injuries that were not believed to be serious.
It happened at around 10 a.m. Monday at 501 Fourth Ave. Investigators said the driver was pulling into a parking spot but did not stop and drove right into the building.
The circumstances leading to the crash have not yet been released.
The damage was to a metal-framed front and it did not compromise the structure.
Firefighters cleared the scene after 20 minutes and turned it over to the post master, who had a construction company on the way to board up the large hole in the wall.
