HOOD RIVER, OR (KPTV) -
Oregon State Police said they found four pounds of methamphetamine after pulling over a car near Hood River.
Police report that Omar Huerta-Garcia, 29, was pulled over Sunday afternoon on I-84 in a 2002 Oldsmobile. After speaking with Huerta-Garcia, the trooper decided to use a drug detection canine to investigate the vehicle. Hidden inside, the dog reportedly found two kilograms, or almost 4 1/2 pounds, of crystal meth.
Police estimate the drugs to be worth $65,000. Huerta-Garcia is now charged with drug possession and delivery charges.
