WOODBURN, OR (KPTV) -

A man involved with the murder of a 19-year-old in front of a Woodburn home in 2011 has been found guilty.

A jury found Javier Sanchez-Perez guilty of attempted murder, unlawful use of a weapon and conspiring to commit murder in the death of Tomas Montes-Sanchez in May 2011.

He will be sentenced Feb. 15.

Erasmo Lopez Jr. pleaded no contest to the charge of murder in this case in December 2012.

He is also scheduled to be sentenced Feb. 15.

Police said the shooting death stemmed from a group of people trying to fight Montes-Sanchez and his brothers, who all refused to fight.

Officers said Montes-Sanchez wasn't a gang member, but his murder was considered gang-related.
