Portland Thorns hosting soccer player tryouts

PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

Portland's National Women's Soccer League team is looking for players to be part of the inaugural season for the Thorns FC.

The Portland Thorns are hosting player tryouts Feb. 9-10 at JELD-WEN Field. It's open to players 18 years of age and older.

Players with previous college or professional experience are invited to register online at PortlandTimbers.com.

The registration fee is $75 and space is limited.

Head Coach Cindy Parlow Cone will be on hand to assess the players.

The tryouts will be from 1-5 p.m. each day. Check-in for both days begins at 12:15 p.m.
