PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -
U.S. Marshals are now asking the public to keep an eye out for two cars in connection with the manhunt for a former Beaverton teacher.
Logan Storm removed his ankle monitoring bracelet last week on the same day a jury found him guilty of possessing child pornography. The bracelet was found in Troutdale, and Storm is now a wanted man.
Federal authorities said Storm has been given help while in hiding. Those who have helped him, once identified, will be targeted for prosecution, a U.S. Marshal's spokesman said.
Storm, an ex-teacher at Stoller Middle School, may be driving one of the following cars while he's on the run:
- A silver, 2002 Volkswagen Jetta with an Oregon license plate 931 DVE.
- A green, 1999 Ford F-150 pickup with an Oregon license plate 726 CKA.
Last week a judge made the decision to release Storm, despite the government's argument that he is a flight risk. He already fled authorities once, but was arrested when he returned to Portland on a flight from Amsterdam.
This time, Storm does not have a passport.
He has now been indicted on a federal charge of failure to appear, police said.
Anyone with information on Storm's whereabouts is asked to call 503-326-2209.
