ALOHA, OR (KPTV) -
A 20-year-old woman is accused of driving under the influence and causing a crash that flipped another car over onto its top.
Washington County deputies were called out to Southwest Kemmer Road in Aloha at 5:10 p.m. Saturday. A car had been reported as driving recklessly in the area by speeding and passing cars in clearly marked no-passing zones prior to the crash.
Deputies arrived at the scene and found a 2010 Toyota Corolla upside down on the road. There were two people inside who had minor injuries.
Investigators said the car that caused the crash drove away from the scene. Deputies found a 1994 Honda Civic matching witness descriptions a mile away on Southwest 175th Avenue.
Witnesses told deputies a woman parked the car and ran away. A short time later, Elizabeth Albertson, 20, of Hillsboro, returned to the scene.
Deputies said the Corolla was turning onto Kemmer Road from 182nd Avenue when Albertson hit it with her Civic.
Investigators said Albertson had a blood alcohol content of nearly twice the legal limit. She was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of intoxicants, hit and run, reckless driving and criminal mischief.
