Three arrested for Woodburn apartment shooting

Three people, including two teenagers, are charged with attempted murder for a shooting at a Woodburn apartment complex.

Juan Limas, 20, of Woodburn, is accused of shooting David Ramon, 27, of Woodburn, at the Stonehedge Apartments on North Front Street on Friday.

Police said the victim had a single gunshot wound to his chest. He was taken to Salem Hospital and underwent surgery. Doctors said he is expected to make a full recovery.

Investigators said Limas was the sole shooter and he was arrested Saturday. He is facing charges including attempted murder, assault, reckless endangering and delivery of a controlled substance.

Police said Limas was in possession of a large amount of marijuana at the time of his arrest.

Woodburn police said he was assisted by two other people during the shooting.

Eduardo Garcia, 19, of Woodburn, and Marlyn Soriano, 17, of Salem, were both arrested Monday. They faces charges including attempted murder, assault and tampering with physical evidence.

Investigators said the shooting took place in a large apartment complex. Several of the rounds that were fired entered apartment bedrooms and a living room. Fortunately, no one else was hurt.

The case is believed to be gang related.
