Charges dropped against Bruce Dancer
CANBY, OR (KPTV) -
Charges are not being filed against a man arrested after the death of a Highway worker in Canby last summer.
Greg Priest, 48, was hit and killed on South New Era Road in July 2012 while putting warning flags on top of construction signs.
Investigators said Bruce Dancer stopped and called 911 after hitting Priest. He was then arrested on suspicion of DUII.
On Thursday, the Clackamas County District Attorney's Office decided not to press charges in the case. Prosecutors said it was a decision "based on all of the evidence available." That includes any actions by Priest prior to the crash that would have been relevant
