PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

Portland police arrested a man Thursday after they say he turned himself in to officers in connection with a hit-and-run crash in December of 2012.

Police responded to the corner of North Vancouver Avenue and Weidler Street on Dec. 13, where they said a driver hit Ryan Hendryx as he was crossing the street after leaving a Trail Blazers basketball game.

Hendryx was hit hard enough to go up onto the hood and break the car's windshield. Investigators said the driver fled the scene.

Traffic Division officers ultimately located and seized the suspect vehicle, which already had a new windshield. On Thursday, police said the suspect, Ronald Jacko, turned himself in at Central Precinct.

Jacko was charged with failure to perform the duties of a driver and tampering with physical evidence. He was booked into the Multnomah County Jail.
