PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -
A new survey is giving a snapshot of what Oregonians think about immigration reform.
The DHM Research survey showed 68 percent agreed immigrants are essential to building the future economy in Oregon.
More than 70 percent of people in the tri-county area (Multnomah, Clackamas and Washington counties) and the Willamette Valley agreed with that statement, compared to 58 percent for the rest of the state.
The remaining respondents, 32 percent, believe immigrants take away jobs from Oregon residents.
