A McMinnville man was sentenced to nearly 69 years behind bars for sexually assaulting at least five girls over a 10-year span.
Douglas Turnbow was sentenced in court Friday. A jury found him guilty on 25 counts of sex abuse Jan. 30.
He was arrested in 2010. Court records showed his victims were between the ages of 4 years old and 10 and the majority of the abuse happened in a hot tub at his home between 1996 and 2001.
Turnbow worked as a long haul trucker, mostly driving between Oregon and California. He did not have a prior criminal record.
The jury was hung on three other counts of sex abuse.
Turnbow turned 69 years old Feb. 1.
