Portland police are asking for the public's help finding a bank robbery suspect accused of writing his demands for cash on a pizza box.
Investigators said officers responded to the Bank of the West branch located at 905 NE Halsey St. at 3:37 p.m. Friday on the report of a bank robbery.
The officers spoke to the victim, who told them the suspect entered the bank and presented a pizza box with a handwritten demand for money on the box. Police said the man left the bank on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The suspect is described as a white man in his late 30s, 5'9" to 6'1" tall, 160 pounds, unshaven with salt and pepper colored scruff on his face. He was last seen wearing a dark blue hoodie with the hood up and light blue jeans.
Any with information about the robbery is asked to call Detective Brett Hawkinson at 503-823-1080 or the Portland office of the FBI at 503-224-4181.
