
More than 1,000 people were without power Tuesday night around downtown Portland.
The Portland General Electric website listed 24 total outages with 1,104 customers affected in Multnomah County just before 7 p.m. By 8 p.m., the number of customers without power was 1,400.
The cause was not immediately known.
A Portland Fire & Rescue spokesman said they had received at least three calls of stuck elevators.
All MAX lines experienced delays, while TriMet buses were also affected by turned-off traffic signals.
PGE workers said they hoped to have the power back on by 9:15 p.m.
