SALEM, OR (KPTV) -

Police identified a suspect Saturday in a deadly hit-and-run that killed and elderly woman and injured her son.

Investigators said 26-year-old Brandon Paine-Smith hit the pair with his car outside the Lucky Fortune Restaurant at about 11 p.m. Thursday.

Police are also looking for his passenger at the time, 20-year-old Kayla Jo Holden, who has a prior felony arrest warrant.

Kow Lan Cheung-Lin, 68, died after she was run over in the parking lot outside her family's restaurant.

"She was a lovely lady and a great neighbor," said John Movius, who lived next door to the victim for five years.

"We always waved at each other across the way and she used to grow Asian vegetables in her backyard, so we would swap vegetables," he said.

Cheung-Lin's son, Tom Cheung, who was injured in the hit-and-run, said they were trying to stop Paine-Smith from driving away after an altercation that took place inside the restaurant.

Police said Paine-Smith and Holden ditched the car around the corner from the restaurant and took off.

Paine-Smith also has a felony warrant from a parole violation.

Police want anyone with information about the couple's whereabouts to call 911.
