Update: OHSU hospital says Conklin died from her injuries Sunday.
Marissa Ann Conklin, 20, of Southeast Portland, is listed in critical condition after a crash Saturday night. Portland Police say Conklin was launched more than 70 feet through the air after a Volvo C70 convertible smashed into a tree. Police says the convertible was traveling westbound on Southeast Market Street near 111th when it went off the road. The crash occurred a little before 9 PM Saturday night.
Two other people remained at the scene and are cooperating with investigators. A fourth person fled the scene before police arrived. It's unclear who was driving the vehicle and police are asking anybody with information to contact Officer Chris Johnson at (503) 823-2213.
