Mudslide shuts down Amtrack tracks between Seattle and Everett

SEATTLE (KPTV) -

A mudslide has Amtrack train service shut down between Seattle and Everett, WA.

The slide is affecting Amtrack Cascades and Empire Builder lines.

Amtrack said in a tweet Sunday night that the tracks would be closed until 4 p.m. Tuesday.

The carrier is taking passengers by bus until train service is up and running again.

Passengers who have tickets and decide not to travel can get a refund or voucher for future travel.
